What we do to make your home comfortable.

Garbett is proud to be Utah's premiere Zero Energy Ready Home builder. So what is a Zero Energy Ready Home? A Zero Energy Ready Home is a high-performance home so energy efficient, all or most annual energy consumption can be offset with renewable energy. By using 2’x6’ exterior walls instead of conventional 2’x4’ walls, spacing studs 24” on center (instead of the standard 16” apart), in addition to a 1” barrier of exterior rigid foam insulation; we’re able to make significant gains in energy efficiency. Allowing you to have much better control over temperature regulation than competing homes. We also use Low-Emittance (low-E) windows. Low-E windows allow visible light to enter our homes while restricting summer heat from entering. During the winter months, the windows keep cold air outside while reflecting the heat produced from the home back into the home, keeping your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Keeping you cozy all year!

01

Bring Nature Indoors.

You’ve probably heard this time and time again, but natural elements are the easiest way to make humans feel comfortable. Water in the home is tranquil and meditative. Consider a fountain or even looking at a pool or lake out your window can bring comfort.

02

Keep Temps Consistent.

Whether we think about it or not, the climate in your home can make the difference of how comfortable you and your guests feel. Those who live in extreme conditions of hot or cold, tend to stay uncomfortable and have to adjust the heating or air conditioning in their home.

03

Show Your Personality.

Bring in colors that remind you of your childhood, or spark an emotion that reminds you of your last vacation! Whatever is your inspiration, bring it into your built environment.

04

Make the space yours.

Quite simply, find your favorite decorative style and bring in touches of yourself. Whether that means adding a do it yourself project to the wall for personalization or reupholstering your favorite chair from college, find a way to reflect you in every room.
